Gasly experienced an extremely painful closing of GP Saudi Arabia: ‘Looked like a knife in my gut’ | Motorsport

“I thought I was going to die in the car, I cried out in pain,” Gasly said. “I don’t know what was wrong with my gut, but it was the most painful last 15 laps of my career. Under the brakes and in every left turn, I had the feeling that someone was stabbing my gut with a knife. I have to take it to the doctor,” said Gasly, who gave no further details.

Gasly was happy that despite that pain he made it to the finish and scored four more points for the world title fight. His teammate Yuki Tsunoda had already retired during the warm-up lap with a technical problem.
