Dangerous gas accident in Neukölln.

On Tuesday evening around 9.10 p.m. the fire brigade was called to Berthelsdorfer Straße in Neukölln. There was a strong spread of gas here for reasons unknown until now.

The fire brigade evacuated the house, two residents were transported to hospitals and two others were cared for in an ambulance.

Two cats were rescued from an apartment, a third could not be found. Firefighters opened up several apartments to make sure there were no more tenants injured by the gas.

The fire brigade and the fault clearance service of the Berlin Brandenburg network company turned off the gas. The residential building was then ventilated until the concentration became harmless.

After that, residents were able to return to their homes. The gas will remain off until further notice.

How it came to the dangerous concentration must now be determined.
