Paroled in February, Gary Glitter is back behind bars for violating parole. This was announced yesterday Monday (March 13). Probation Service spokesman with: “Protecting the public is our top priority. That’s why we set strict probation terms and if convicts break them, we don’t shy away from taking them back into custody.”

Paul Gadd, Glitter’s real name, was sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2015 for multiple sexual abuse of minors. About halfway through, he was paroled under strict conditions, which is not unusual in the UK. He is now back in prison after a demonstration shortly after his release in February. To what extent he specifically violated the conditions is unknown.

It was only announced this March that Netflix was working on a three-part documentary about the former singer, called Haunting Gary Glitter. In addition to people who fought for his conviction for years, victims will also be seen and heard.
