The Spanish tennis player Garbiñe Muguruza was the fifth highest-paid athlete in the world in 2021, generating 8.8 million dollars, according to a list revealed by Forbes magazine and led by the Japanese Naomi Osaka with 57.3 million dollars.

Forbes, a publication specialized in business and finance, revealed the 10 female athletes who obtained the most earnings last year and who together achieved 167 million dollars.
