Liam and Noel Gallagher at the Carabao Cup final at Wembley – their first public appearance together since the end of the tour.
On Sunday, March 22, 2026, the Carabao Cup final between the two English football teams Manchester City and Arsenal FC took place at Wembley Stadium in London. Manchester City won 2-0 and lifted the trophy into the London sky. There were also two prominent guests in the stands who had not been seen together for a long time: the brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher from the Britpop band Oasis.
First public appearance since the tour finale
In 2025, one of the biggest comebacks in music history took place with the Oasis reunion tour. Since the final show in São Paulo, there has been speculation about what the brothers’ relationship has been like since then – but there have been hardly any updates on this very question.
As is well known, both Gallaghers have been big fans of Manchester City football club since they were children. When the team won the Carabao Cup, the musicians made their first joint public appearance in a long time. In several pictures published on X they can be seen together in the stands of the stadium. There is no trace of the disputes of the past: both artists appear to be in a good mood and celebrate their team’s victory together.
Since the end of the tour, there have been no statements from the brothers as to whether further tour dates are planned or whether they are working on new music together. One can only speculate as to whether they can now be called friends. However, based on the pictures from Wembley Stadium, one can assume that the radio silence between the two is also a thing of the past.
Oasis documentary is due out soon
All fans who are eagerly waiting for news about Oasis can already look forward to a documentary that deals with the past tour.
The film is produced by “Peaky Blinders” director Steven Knight. In an interview with Project Big Screen, he said the documentary would be “phenomenal.”
