The department store group Galeria moves to Düsseldorf with its service center.

Galeria and the landlord project Völklinger Str. 4 Düsseldorf GmbH signed the contracts, Galeria said on Wednesday. The headquarters will be relocated from Essen to Düsseldorf from May. There the company will rent an area in the RWI4 office complex.

“We have examined our options very carefully in the past few months and have found a great solution,” said Galeria CEO Olivier van den Bosssche. “The Service Center is so located that we as a trading company are close to what defines us – the branches in the best city center. So we can even better dive into the needs of our customers: inside and the matching ranges and with a supplier: Interior and partners: Convert inside together what is best for our branches and the city center. With two branches, Düsseldorf offers a kind of ‘blueprint’ for the entire company. Nevertheless, we had to think about accessibility, parking spaces and efficient office design et cetera so that all requirements are united. We succeeded with this location. ”

The previous service center in Essen was home to the areas of supply chain, merchandise planning and logistics, purchasing, marketing, IT, finance, people & culture, digital/e-communce, corporate communication and location development.
