Galeria relies on Antonio Negro in the role of Chief Procurement Officer.
Negro competes on August 1st, the department store group said on Thursday at the LinkedIn car rental network. He takes over the management for purchasing and follows Alexa Deters, who announced her farewell last week.
The new head of purchasing should continue to advance the transformation of the purchasing organization and sharpen the range strategy, according to Düsseldorf. For this he has experience from the off-price specialist TK Maxx and the Munich online mail order company Best Secret.
“We are pleased to win with Antonio an experienced manager who will develop the relevance of Galeria as the heart of the inner cities in his responsibility for the shopping team and the ranges,” said Galeria-Coo Tilo Hellenbock. “This path is crucial to secure the sustainable economic success and a strong market position from Galeria.”
Most recently, Negro – according to LinkedIn – was active for the British Lifestyle Retail Group in Essen. He has been employed by the digital marketplace platform for around a year as Senior Vice President International.
Strengthening in sales
In addition to Negro, Galeria also calls Vanessa Leonhardy, who takes over the position of regional sales director for the north. She succeeds Franziska Bonn, who has been responsible for the Signature Categories as a new Director Buying since June.
Leonhardy brings comprehensive sales experience and worked for the Hamburg trading company Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co. KG and Peek & Cloppenburg KG Hamburg. She reports to Chief Sales Officer Philipp Kretzer.
“With her expertise and her sense of the market, Vanessa will significantly help shape the strategic direction of our sales strategy in the north,” said Kretzer. “It will further strengthen the proximity to our customers and actively promote the further development and promotion of our sales team together with the local teams.”
