Galatasaray’s Argentine center forward Mauro Icardi was imprudently referred to PFDK due to his ‘insult’ in the Ankaragücü match.
The referral report to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board was announced by the TFF Legal Consultancy on 23.02.2024. According to the report shared on the TFF’s official website, Galatasaray’s football player Mauro Icardi was imprudently referred to PFDK in accordance with Article 41 of the Football Disciplinary Instruction due to his ‘insult’ in the MKE Ankaragücü – Galatasaray match played on 18.02.2024.
ARTICLE 41 – ATTACK ON PERSONAL RIGHTS, INSULT, THREAT AND SPITTING
(1) Insults, curses, threatens or in any way attacks the personal rights of TFF or its members, match officials, football players, managers or other relevant clubs and persons, or commits these actions through press and broadcast organs or social media;
(a) 2 to 5 for football players; If the actions are directed against the competition officials, a penalty of banning from 3 to 7 competitions will be given.
