Galatasaray apparently wants to lure the next well-known player to Turkey. As transfer reporters Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano report, among others, the Süper Lig leaders contacted Inter Milan about Davide Frattesi. Gala is said to be prepared to pay the second-highest transfer fee in the club’s history for the 26-year-old midfielder.

There is talk of up to 35 million euros for the 33-time Italian international. The Istanbul team only spent more on signing Victor Osimhen, who cost 75 million euros last summer. This amount is also the highest in the history of the league. With a total package of 35 million euros, Frattesi would also be in second place in these statistics.
According to reports, a loan with an obligation to purchase is being negotiated. The loan fee should amount to 5 million euros, including a subsequent clause of 30 million euros. However, there is still disagreement about the conditions for how many missions the clause should apply. The Nerazzurri want as few games as possible. Galatasaray has already spent a good 148 million euros this season, with income of just under 18 million euros.
It is not clear from the reports whether Frattesi, who has a contract with Inter until 2028, is willing to move to Turkey. Only that the Roman native was said to have been offered a high salary. Frattesi has been active for Milan since 2023. Initially coming on loan, he was signed permanently for 31.4 million euros in 2024. Since then there have been 104 games (15 goals, 11 assists). However, this season his game shares have decreased, causing his market value to fall from €35 million to €28 million in the most recent update in December.
