Fethiyespor, the 2nd League Red Group team, which is preparing to face Galatasaray for the first time in its history in the Ziraat Turkish Cup Group A on Tuesday, January 13, is trying to complete the renovation and ground maintenance works initiated at the Fethiye District Stadium in time for the match.
The seat installation of the portable tribune with a capacity of 3 thousand people continues in the stadium, whose indoor tribune was demolished at the beginning of this season due to rot. Efforts are being made to get the ground ready before the match at the stadium, where preparations are continuing at full speed. Stadium Supervisor Bülent Kargın stated that after the last home match of the league against Mardin 1969 Spor on December 21, the field was taken into care and the grassing, sandblasting and disinfection works continued as planned.
Stating that the temporary appearance seen on the ground is due to the maintenance process, Kargın said that the field will be completely ready by the match day. While the tribune arrangements at the stadium are continuing, it was reported that portable tribune construction works are continuing before the match, thus increasing the fan capacity. Kargın stated that the ticket sales of Fethiyespor, which set the cheapest ticket price for the historic match as 5 thousand TL, were going well and football fans showed great interest in the match, and said, “Our ticket sales are at a satisfactory level. Fan interest is very good. We want to host Galatasaray and football fans here in the best possible way. We are waiting for all sports fans to this important match.” Before the Galatasaray appointment in Fethiye, the organizational work continues uninterruptedly in line with the planned program.
