Galatasaray won the Istanbul intercontinental derby on Sunday evening against arch-rivals Fenerbahce. The already-established Turkish champions defeated the Asian side of the Bosphorus club 3-0 in front of their home crowd.
The star additions from the winter, Nicolò Zaniolo (28th/79th), and from the summer, Mauro Icardi (71st), scored the goals for the “lions”. On Fenerbahce’s side, defender Luan Peres saw the red card in the second round (61st) because of an emergency brake.
