While FC Bayern is still negotiating with Leroy Sané about a possible contract extension, rumors are circulating on the obligation of a new foreign striker. The former professional of FC Bayern and today’s football coach Mark van Bommel keeps big pieces on his compatriot Cody Gakpo.
“Cody does his job very well in Liverpool and also with our national team,” the 48-year-old told “Bild”: “He is a very fast outdoor car player who does great individual campaigns. The special thing is that he also has a very good conclusion. He is really dangerous!”
The former captain of the Munich team added: “In addition to his football qualities, Gakpo is Dutch-and Dutch were always good at Bayern. But I’m not in Bavaria’s scouting team …”
Van Bommel strives for coaching comeback
