The United States attacked Venezuela during the early hours of the morningas reported by Administration sources to CBS News, after strong explosions were recorded this Saturday in different areas of the country. The objective of US President Donald Trump is to continue his pressure campaign against the regime of Nicolás Maduro.
Furthermore, the Republican politician has just announced that Maduro has been captured and transferred out of the country: “The United States has successfully carried out a large-scale attack against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolás Maduro, who was captured and flown, along with his wife, out of the country“.
The president of the United States states that “This operation was carried out in collaboration with US law enforcement agencies. More details will be given soon. Today at 11:00 am there will be a press conference at Mar-a-Lago. Thank you for your time! President Donald J. Trump.”
The US bombing of Venezuela has become the main topic of the day and will likely remain so in the coming days. One of the most controversial politicians in Spain, Gabriel Rufián, has not hesitated to express his opinion on the matter through his personal account on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The ERC politician begins by saying that “those who lied to you with Iraq, with the crisis, with the preferred companies, with the bailout of the banks, with the Prestige, with the Yak-42, with the Valencia Metro, with the Alvia in Galicia, with the 7,291 people abandoned in the residences of Madrid, with the DANA, with the fires and with Gaza now they will lie to you with Venezuela“.
He makes it clear that “the main danger to the world is called Trump and his henchmen”, something that the Spanish Government should keep in mind: “And so it must condemn him.” However, he warned: “Don’t make a fool of yourself again, as happened with Guaidó“.
It doesn’t stop there, because Rufián shares the following reflection: “Bombing another country is not a war, it is aggression. And detaining the President of that country is not an arrest, it is a kidnapping.”
Finally, he states that “I say this because the movie will be this and it is a lie“.
