Gabor promotes CFO Stefan Blöchinger to CEO

Stefan Blöchinger was appointed new CEO by the Gabor Shoes AG Supervisory Board.

He has held this position since July 18, the Rosenheim shoe manufacturer announced on Wednesday. Blöchinger takes over for Achim Gabor, who announced in May that he was retiring from the company “for health reasons”. In addition to his current role as Chief Financial Officer, the new CEO will also be responsible for marketing and sales.

Blöchinger has 30 years of professional experience and was active in various areas as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In addition, he has also increasingly dealt with the topics of transformation, standardization of business processes and digitization and is now planning to develop new perspectives for Gabor, according to the announcement.

“In the future, we will not forget where Gabor comes from and what makes Gabor special,” says Blöchinger. “All customers, suppliers, partners and employees can continue to rely on us.”

At the beginning of June, Gabor appointed Peter Bradler to the Board of Management for Production, Purchasing and Sourcing.
