G-Star Raw blurs the lines between artificial intelligence and craftsmanship.
The Dutch denim brand created 12 “raw denim couture pieces” conceived as AI drafts. One of the pieces, a denim cape, was then turned into reality. This makes G-Star Raw the first denim brand to actually bring AI-generated garments to life, the Dutch label announced on Tuesday.
The resulting cape made of Japanese selvedge denim is currently on display at the G-Star store in Amsterdam and aims to introduce customers to the “Future of Demin”. However, customers cannot currently purchase the AI pieces.
