Fynch-Hatton founder Roger Brandts is giving up the executive chair again.
The Mönchengladbach-based clothing retailer has appointed Christian Kohlhase as CEO, as the future Fynch Hatton boss announced on the career network Linkedin on Wednesday. He will take up his new role on January 19th.
In his role as CEO, Kohlhase will focus on product, sales and marketing. His central tasks include further sharpening the brand identity, increasing visibility and emotional brand loyalty as well as the qualitative expansion of the international presence in now more than 50 markets. In addition, his goal is to strengthen partnerships with teams and trading partners and to achieve sustainable, convincing performance.
“Fynch-Hatton is a brand with tradition, a strong foundation, clear values and great international potential,” wrote Kohlhase in his article. The decisive factors for his move were the company’s brand continuity and future-oriented course.
Change after 15 years at PVH
Kohlhase is joining Fynch-Hatton from PVH, the parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, according to his Linkedin profile. He worked there for more than 15 years, most recently as Managing Director PVH Europe Region West for both brands. He previously worked in various positions at Tommy Hilfiger in Düsseldorf for over eight years.
Following Mathias Eckert’s departure in June 2024, Fynch-Hatton’s management was once again in the hands of company founder Roger Brandts. Brandts actually moved to the advisory board when Eckert joined the board, but took over operational management again in November 2024. With Kohlhase’s entry, Brandts is now withdrawing from day-to-day business and will act as Chairman of the Advisory Board in the future. In this role, he wants to continue to actively shape the strategic direction of the company.
