One day after the personal quake at the Füchsen Berlin, Klubboss Bob Hanning answered questions. He admitted a guilty conscience.
After the personnel quake at the German handball champion Füchse Berlin, Managing Director Bob Hanning has revealed further details and revealed that he had actually agreed to extend the contract with coach Jaron Siewert. “I was with Jaron.
The German champion had separated the day before with a previously unprecedented double refrigeration from sports director Stefan Kretzschmar and Siewert. Nicolej Krickau now acts as a coach and sports director in personnel union. Siewert and Kretzschmar’s contracts would only expire at the end of the season.
According to his own statement, Hanning wanted to announce the further cooperation with Siewert before the start of the season. Finally, however, they decided on a radical “cut”. Also because Kretzschmar surprisingly announced that he did not want to extend his contract that expires in the summer. “He didn’t discuss that with me,” said Hanning.
After that, the decision was made to unite the position of coach and sports director in one person – and the value of them made victim. “I apologized to him that he had to go out of this system now,” said Hanning. However, he had to make the decision he thought was the best for the club. Above all, it was not easy for him because he has been with Siewert as a youth player since his time. “Regardless of the fact that the pain he feels is more than understandable.
“I said Jaron that this is the most difficult process of my life and that this is an overall situation that required it,” said the managing director. “I also thanked him what he wanted to hear less at the moment.”
The 57-year-old, on the other hand, described the decision against Kretzschmar as a “normal employer worker process”.
