Füchse Berlin remain flawless in the European League

Bundesliga leader Füchse Berlin has also won its third group game in the European League in handball.

Coach Jaron Siewert’s team clearly prevailed at RK Pelister in North Macedonia with 43:34 (22:14).

SG Flensburg-Handewitt was also unscathed on the third day of play. Maik Machulla’s team won 37:32 (18:16) against the Icelandic representative Valur Reykjavik and is the leader of the table in Group B with three wins. Teitur Örn Einarsson flourished in his home country and scored seven goals as the best Flensburg.

The evening was less successful for Frisch Auf Göppingen. In Montpellier, the Bundesliga club, threatened with relegation, lost 27:35 (13:20) and had to cede the lead in Group A to the French. With six goals, Axel Goller was the most accurate player in Göppingen, for whom it was the first defeat of the season after two wins.

“I’m satisfied with the performance of my team,” said Füchse coach Siewert. “Right from the start we were concentrated and focused, that was the cornerstone of success.”

Already in the first half, the Berliners, where Milos Vujovic was the most successful shooter with eight goals, ensured clear conditions. The Berliners lead Group D with three wins from three games ahead of Denmark’s Skanderborg Aarhus.
