DFB condemns Hannover 96 too high fine

Bitter neck strike in transfer summer for Hannover 96: The Lower Saxony have to press a six -figure sum to the DFB. It’s about various fans’ various offenses.

The DFB sports court sentenced the Hannover 96 soccer team to a total of 198,400 euros for misconduct by its fans. The reason is three judgments on four unsportsmanlike incidents by supporters, as the sports court of the German Football Association announced.

The highest individual penalty of 82,200 euros affects the home game against SC Paderborn on February 22nd. Fans of the Lower Saxony ignited at least 90 pyrotechnic objects. Due to the strong smoke development and large confetting on the field, the kick -off was delayed by seven minutes. Pyrotechnics also occurred again during the game.

The burning of at least 110 Bengalische Feinen at the away game against 1. FC Köln on November 30, 2024 will result in a penalty of 66,000 euros. Hannover 96 received another 55,200 euros for incidents in the away game against SSV Ulm on May 3, 2025. There, among other things, ten smoke bodies were inflamed and four fireworks batteries were shot down.

The club can use up to 66,100 euros of the total amount for security and prevention work.
