Frustrating evening Young AZ against NAC Breda, Velanas makes a hat trick

Young AZ has had an inglorious turn on a visit to NAC Breda. It became 5-1 in the Rat Verlegh Stadium. This was partly due to a red card from Loek Postma, who settled the fate of Young AZ. Odysseus Velanas scored three goals for the team from Breden.

Just like last Monday, Jong AZ was fairly weakened due to the busy schedule of the first. They will play against FC Utrecht tomorrow. For example, Fedde de Jong and Wouter Goes were missing. Soulyman Allouch has left for VVV-Venlo. NAC Breda, the number eight in the ranking, took the lead after eleven minutes via Charles-Jesaja Hermann.

The Alkmaar youngsters then had the best chances. Mexx Meerdink shot just wide and Ernest Poku also became dangerous. He found goalkeeper Roy Kortsmit on his way and Meerdink’s shot was cleared off the line in the rebound.

Any hope of improvement in the second half for Young AZ was quickly dashed. After a foul by Loek Postma, Odysseus Velanas doubled the score from the penalty spot: 2-0. The game was played after that, because it only got more painful after that. Postma got his second yellow card and extended NAC’s score.

First Velanas made his second of the evening, before Ezechiel made Banzuzi 4-0 in the 67e minute. In the final phase, substitute Ro-Zangelo Daal had another huge chance, but not for the first time Kortsmit kept his goal clean. Velanas added even more salt to the wounds by scoring 5-0. Jurre van Aken made the defeat even more bearable: 5-1.
