Frosinone shooting in a bar in the centre, two dead and two injured

The shooting occurred at the height of a violent argument between a group of Moroccans and one of Albanians: unfortunately there are two victims

Shooting in right in the center of Frosinone on the evening of Saturday 9 March 2024, in via Aldo Moro in front of the Shake Bar. The act of violence took place around 7.30pm, peak time for all the young people, and not only them, intent on having an aperitif in the city centre. Two groups of young people clashed. According to initial reconstructions, some boys of Albanian origin they were sitting at the tables in the bar, when suddenly they arrived in a car rivals of Moroccan origins. The two gangs began to argue verbally first inside the club and then in the street. However, the situation soon degenerated and guns were drawn. According to initial reconstructions, it seems that they had had previous conflicts over issues of managing drug trafficking in the city.

The victims are all Albanian boys. One of them was joined by a gunshot to the head and his condition immediately appeared very serious. When the ambulance arrived, the medics worked for 40 minutes to try to keep him alive. However, every effort was in vain and the boy died in the hands of paramedics. A second boy died in hospital during surgery in the operating room, according to the Corriere della Sera. The other two of him were injured in the legs and chest and are currently hospitalized at the Spaziani hospital.

The perpetrators of the shooting quickly disappeared, running away on foot and blending into the crowd in the streets of central Frosinone. The investigations are conducted by detectives from the city police headquarters’ flying squad. The prefect Ernesto Liguori has convened the Committee for Public Order and Security for tomorrow morning. Upset the mayor Riccardo Mastrangeli who reached the site of the shooting: “It’s a wound for the whole city.”
