From the age of 12, half of young people go to school alone, Vias calls for extra vigilance

A new school year starts on Friday for 1 million children and teachers: more than half of 12 to 14-year-olds do this on their own, on foot or by bicycle. This is evident from a study by Vias. The knowledge center for road safety therefore calls on all road users to be extra vigilant. “Last school year, 14 children were injured in traffic every day on their way to school or back home.”
