Departure to Bayern threatens
Before the Supercup against FC Bayern, RB Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco is not worried about hiring transfer candidate Konrad Laimer. The duel in the Supercup against the dream club is on Saturday. “I have no concerns,” said Tedesco on Thursday (quoted via dpa). “Konni trains very well. This is an athlete, this is a strong character. I am happy that it is my player and as long as there is nothing else he has my full support.”

Tedesco said of the speculation that has been circulating for weeks: “The longer it drags on, the more difficult it will be to do it.” Bayern are said to have bitten on granite with their efforts so far in Leipzig. Plus for RB when it comes to time: Laimer himself also wants clarity, the coach emphasized. His contract with RB is valid until the end of June next year. If the Leipzig club managers still want to earn money with a change, they would have to let him go this summer.
