From gala to Vunzige Deuntjes: this is the Zoetermeer weekend agenda (19 – 21 January)

This weekend there are fun activities planned in Zoetermeer. For example, you can go to a concert for the little ones or hit the dance floor during Vunzige Deuntjes. Curious about what else there is to do in our city this weekend? Then read on below.

International Pole Vault Gala

On Saturday, January 20, Zoetermeer will celebrate the tenth Klaverblad International Pole Vest Gala. Top jumpers from Canada, South Africa, Bulgaria and the Netherlands, among others, will enter the athletics field for an impressive pole vault show. Jumpers choose their own music, so there may be some dancing, Dutch champion Menno Vloon defends his title, assisted by emerging talent Koen van der Wijst.

The event takes place in the Ilion Indoor Hall from 2 p.m. Entrance is free.

Ukkie concert

On Sunday, January 21, CKC & partners will organize two live concerts for the little ones and their (grand)parents. At 10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., toddlers, preschoolers and toddlers can listen, dance and mingle with the musicians. Mariska Sloot, Esther Steffens, Matsie the raccoon and the students of the CKC orchestra provide the performances. Everyone is welcome and children up to 1 year old can participate for free.

Tickets for children from 1 year cost 5 euros (including drinks and raisins) and for adults 4.50 euros. Buy your tickets here.

Dirty Tunes

Prepare for a night full of beats and good vibes, because the Vunzige Deuntjes SoundSystem is ready to make the dance floor of On The Rocks Zoetermeer vibrate. With the headliner Vunzige Deuntjes SoundSystem you can dance to different types of music such as: dancehall, hip hop, R&B and urban.

The doors open at 11:00 PM and close at 5:00 AM. Tickets are available from 10.50 euros and the party is 18 plus.

Comedy 079

On the evening of Friday, January 19, JJ Music House in Zoetermeer will host Comedy 079, an event that takes place once every two months. Expect an evening where your laughing muscles will be thoroughly trained by a diverse line-up of eight comedians.

The start is at 8:30 PM tickets costs 7.50 euros.
