Sem Verbeek’s name has been mentioned. The 31-year-old Amsterdam tennis player won the mixed doubles at Wimbledon last summer. He hit his first balls on the courts of TC Kattenlaan. It quickly became apparent that he had talent. In 2013 he was the club’s best and won the challenge trophy.

Chairman Peter Wingender invited the professional tennis player to award him honorary membership of TC Kattenlaan. “We are of course just a worthless little club with five courts and that makes the story even crazier,” says Wingender with a big smile.
