“From 25 cents to 17 euros for a bottle of shampoo”: various Flemish hospitals incorrectly charge costs

One in three hospitals does not publish price lists for hospital admissions. Of the hospitals that do, 28 percent incurred unjustified costs. For example, Het Nieuwsblad and VRT NWS report on the basis of research by the Socialist Health Insurance Fund Solidaris. This concerns, for example, hygienic material such as toothpaste, shampoo or shaving foam. In one hospital you pay 18 cents for shaving foam, in the other 13.95 euros.
