‘Frisian Nicci French’ devised murders together at the kitchen table: ‘Chris Griffioen was sometimes the third child at the table’

Erik Betten (50) and Corien Feenstra (51) will not deny that ‘the Frisian Nicci French’ is an attractive label from a commercial perspective. They did not come up with it themselves, but the similarities are there: they also produce thrillers under a pseudonym about a woman who encounters inexplicable deaths and carries her own baggage with her. As ‘Rifka Faber’ they recently published their new murder mystery Last act: “You shouldn’t want to win against each other.”
