Frietchinese set up their own association: “Opening a chip shop here is an extreme form of adjustment”

The more than 800 Frietchinese people in our country will unite. Junfeng Qiu (41), who himself runs a fryer in Zottegem, will lead the club. His case is even one of the favorites of Prime Minister Matthias Diependaele. But what does Qiu want to achieve with his group? And why does anyone of Chinese descent actually open a fryer and not a restaurant? “Our fries are exactly the same as the Belgian, but sometimes it happens that a new customer turns around when he sees a Chinese in the case.”
