She gets nervous: Brenda Rooze from Purmerend is about to surprise friends with the NH Help cake. They helped her out enormously when she had to undergo open heart surgery. Brenda was also able to count on them in earlier operations and she wants to thank them for that now. But although they know each other well, she is not comfortable with how her gesture will fall with them.
When Brenda expresses aloud what her friends mean for her, she will be full. “It makes me sentimental. They are just family for me and are ready for me day and night.” The cake is well received. “It really didn’t have to be, but it is very nice,” is the answer.
‘You just do that’
Marjan and Jos Veerman and Anja and Jan Albers are Dog lovers, just like Brenda. And it is not only that they can find it well together, their dogs also easily interact. Dog William was taken care of without a problem. “William is completely crazy with our girls,” says Jan, referring to his own dogs. “So that was very nice.”
And in the future they will of course be ready for Brenda again. “I don’t have to think about that, you just do that,” Anja summarizes the feelings of the friends. “For her and for the dog.”
