Dortmund (AP) – Former Bundesliga coach Friedhelm Funkel does not believe in Erling Haaland’s future at Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund.
“I would wish the Dortmunders that Haaland stayed for another year, but I lack faith in it a little,” said Funkel in an interview with Sky. “We can count ourselves lucky if we can see him in the Bundesliga for another year after this season,” said the 68-year-old Funkel.

“It’s always a pleasure,” said Funkel, “to watch him when he scores a goal or when he looks grim or angry when he hasn’t succeeded. He’s an attraction for the entire Bundesliga. But I can hardly believe that he will stay another year, although of course I wish. “
Player agent Mino Raiola has recently given BVB hope that striker Haaland will stay beyond the coming summer. “We will look for the best option. I do not rule out that he will stay with Dortmund for another year,” said the 54-year-old Italian to the Dutch radio station NOS.
