ZDF expert takes over as a trainer at the German Club

For Friederike Kromp, a new chapter in football will start from summer. In addition to her TV job, as head coach, it goes to the sidelines.
The women of SV Werder Bremen have filled the head coaching post. As the Bundesliga club announced on Tuesday, Friederike “Fritzy” Kromp will take over the role of the outgoing coach Thomas Horsch in the future. As an assistant coach of the German U17 national team, Kromp won three European Championship titles, and in 2022 she also led the team to the European Championship triumph as head coach. At the World Cup, she and the DFB youngsters landed fourth.
As a ZDF expert, Kromp has made a name for herself through her analyzes along the side of Per Mertesacker and Christoph Kramer. The 40-year-old will continue to do this activity, is in use at the European Women’s European Championships in Switzerland in July.
