The Consultation Committee will not meet next Friday to discuss the latest corona measures. The aim was to extinguish the barometer. But the time is not yet ripe for that, says the federal government. A new date has not yet been determined.
It is the second time that the Consultation Committee meeting has been postponed since the corona barometer switched to code yellow on March 7. The situation in the hospitals is under control, but say goodbye to the last measures? It’s still too early for that. In concrete terms, this mainly concerns the use of the mouth mask on public transport and in healthcare institutions.
“We cannot afford to remove all restrictions at this point,” said a source close to the federal government. “The situation is still evolving, we first have to see which direction it is going.”
“We especially wanted to avoid getting together and then making a decision,” said a second source. “When the Consultation Committee meets, it always creates expectations. If nothing comes out of the bus, there would be negative reactions.”
