Swedish skiing star Frida Karlsson interrupts the Tour de Ski.
The Swede, who won the Tour in 2023, will not participate in the final stage of the race, which will be contested this afternoon.
Karlsson has been suffering from leg problems that have hampered his performances this season. At this year’s Tour, the Swede was in 12th place before the suspension decision.

– Everything is not completely fine, so I have decided not to push myself completely on the ascent of Alpe Cermis. Especially this close to the Olympics. Now I’m going home and getting my legs in shape.
26-year-old Karlsson won bronze in the relay at the Chinese Olympics four years ago. A whopping 13 World Championship medals have been accumulated since 2019. Two of the three world championships came a year ago in Tronheim. In addition to the relay gold, Karlsson was the best at 50 kilometers.
