“Frenzy”: Iggy Pop releases new single

Iggy Pop has released the first single from his forthcoming album, Every Loser. The original punk rocker released “Frenzy” as an animated video on his official YouTube account on Friday, October 28th. “Every Loser” is scheduled for release on January 6, 2023.

The album was produced by Andrew Watts, who also contributed backing vocals to “Frenzy”. The song also features Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. “Being stalked by a sociopath is a great way to get the blood boiling,” says Pop of “Frenzy,” which translates to “madness.”

“Andrew and his Gold Tooth label got me, so we made a record the ‘old fashioned’ together,” Pop said in the album’s initial announcement. Ergo: the music will kick your ass. Have a great day.” The “Godfather of Punk” released his last album in 2019 with “Free”.
