The car with French tourists was stuck on the beach on Saturday afternoon. The driver used the street next to the Charlier ramp, causing him to end up on the beach. The driver tried to drive on on the sand. Without any success.

Because it was already dark, no tow truck could be called. On Sunday morning a bulldozer freed the car from the sand. That also happened through the pedestrian tunnel.

It is not the first time that a car is stuck on that stretch of beach. It happened three times earlier this year. Driving or parking on the beach is prohibited. You need a permit for it.
