Tennis player Tamara Korpatsch missed her first round of 16 at a Grand Slam tournament.
The 31-year-old lost at the French Open in Paris against the clearly favored Ukrainian Elina Svitolina 2:6, 3:6 despite a good performance. Reaching the third round of the clay court classic was still the greatest success in the Hamburger’s career to date.
This means that the women’s competition will take place in the second week without German participation. Before Korpatsch, Eva Lys, Laura Siegemund, Tatjana Maria and Ella Seidel were already eliminated.
