Freestyle swimmer Rafael Miroslaw breaks age-old record, swimming | Berlin Swim Open – Swimming

He clearly undercut the previous record set by Marco di Carli in 2011 (48.24). At the same time, the man from Hamburg also met the norm for the World and European Championships in June in Budapest and in August in Rome. The qualification period ends on April 12th.

The day before, Miroslaw, who is studying in the USA, had caused a stir when he set a personal best of 1:46.04 minutes in the 200-meter freestyle and thus recommended himself for the highlights of the season. So far this year, only South Korean Hwang Sunwoo (1:45.79) has been faster.
