The level crossing has recently been closed for two months for the construction of a wider cycle path. Although the city previously confirmed that the level crossing will open again after the works, a new city map causes confusion. On the map, which carries the official logo of Roeselare, the level crossing seems to disappear.
Yet the city of Roeselare states that there is no reason to panic. “This is not an official map of the city, but a commercial edition through sponsorship,” says Mobility ships, Piet Delrue. “By computer processing, not all details are displayed correctly. The level crossing will just open again after the works.”
