Frédérique Matla again helps hockey players Den Bosch to European success | Other sports

The hockey players from Den Bosch have won the third edition of the Euro Hockey League for women. In the Wagener stadium, Frédérique Matla decided the duel with the Spanish Club Campo de Madrid with a field goal at the beginning of the fourth quarter: 1-0.

It was a repeat of the 2021 final when Den Bosch was also too strong for the Spanish women. Last year, coach Marieke Dijkstra’s team still had to beat Amsterdam via shoot-outs.

Matla had already shot her team to the final on Sunday by scoring both goals in the 2-1 win against the German Düsseldorfer HC. In the final of 2021, won by Den Bosch 5-0, she scored three times at the time.

Among the men, Bloemendaal can win the Euro Hockey League for the third time in a row. The final against Rot-Weiss Köln starts at 4.15 pm. Rot-Weiss Köln won the European cup tournament once and that was in 2017. There are seven internationals in the team who won the world title with Germany in January.
