British retailer Frasers Group Plc has further increased its stake in online fashion retailer N Brown. According to a mandatory notification to the London Stock Exchange published on Friday, the parent company of retail chains such as Sports Direct, House of Fraser and Flannels now controls almost 17.9 percent of the voting rights of N Brown Group Plc, either directly or through financial instruments. Frasers joined the British e-commerce specialist in October and held around five percent of the shares until the most recent acquisitions.

With the recent share purchase, the retailer continued its aggressive investment strategy. The Frasers Group is also involved in the Metzingen-based fashion group Hugo Boss AG, the British clothing supplier Asos Plc and the leather goods specialist Mulberry Group Plc. Over the past year, the group of companies has also taken over numerous fashion and retail companies such as MySale, Sneakerboy, Gieves & Hawkes, Missguided and I Saw It First.
