A small fringed brouwerij can stop with the delivery of special beer with the name ‘John Lemon’. The owner of the brouwerij in Brittany is published in the Britse krant ‘The Guardian’ that has a boze letter written by Yoko Ono, the weduwe of the ex-Beatle John Lennon.

But you can’t laugh at the words and want to see the hair that’s really moored, “beautiful words made and their reputation well-behaved”. The advocates of Ono are three of their own, Aurélien Picard, with offers of a minimum of 100,000 euros. The 5,000 are still available for the Picard, but they may still be sold.
“Gewoon a grapje”
The brewery sells the beer in the middle of every year, with a Citroen and a gemstone. Op het flesje staat a vrolijke carikatur van John Lennon met citroenschijfjes in plaats van zijn kenmerkende zonnebril. “He was gewoon a grapje: a etiket om a glimlach op je zicht te toveren,” says Picard. “We drink a lot of beer with words in the names of the stars, and we don’t have any problems with it.”
Previous maand ontving Picard real a letter from Ono’s advocaten waarin hem will bevolen om onmiddellijk te stop with the use of the name, differently zou hij a boete krijgen voor elke dag dat hij dat weigerde.
“In the first instance I thought that it wasn’t something, it was a real light,” said Picard in ‘The Guardian’. Toen hijn online the names of the advocaten controleerde, ontdekte hij dat zijn woordspeling helemaal niet zo originaleel was. In 2017, Ono also slept with a frisdrankmerk for the right, but the name was ‘John Lemon’. Ok toen kreeg Ono hair zin and most of the notice of the name change.
“We had the idea that the trade mark ‘John Lemon’ was registered, and we never thought about it as a controller,” says Picard. Bitterly blijft his niet: Picard overweegt om the beer onder one other name te gaan verkopen, namelijk Jaune Lemon, often ‘gele citroen’ in the Frans.
