Frankfurt clearly won the first Bundesliga duel of the new season. A national player turned up.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s footballers started the new Bundesliga season with a confident victory. Against the SGS Essen, the third in the table of the pre -season clearly won 5-0 (3-0).

Nicole Anyomi scored the first goal of the new season in the 24th minute. The Swiss international Geraldine Reuteler (34th and 69th minute) scored twice for Eintracht. The Swede Amanda Ilestedt (45th) and Japanese Remina Chiba (81./Foulelfmeter) scored the other goals.

After an open start with good approaches on both sides, Frankfurt used two ball losses from the Esseners. At first Reuteler played a strong passport into the top, there Anyomi shook her opponent and curved goalkeeper Kim Sindermann. Then a combination of Reuteler and Laura led to the second goal, Laura Pucks had lost the ball under construction.

The official opening game of the new season will only take place in Munich this Saturday. Then the German champions of FC Bayern meet Bayer Leverkusen and await a Bundesliga viewer record at their first home game in the Allianz Arena (from 5.45 p.m. in the T-Online live ticker).
