Frank Lammers about the film Ferry 2: not a musical, but it does sing

There is good news for those who have not yet had enough of the adventures of criminal Ferry Bouman. The film Ferry 2 can be seen on Netflix from December 20, starring our own Frank Lammers, of course. And our Fer takes a completely different tack and becomes a folk singer, says Frank in the radio program KEIgoeiemorgen! To top it all off, Frank also sings a song from his brand new repertoire.

Where the first Ferry shows what happens before the three seasons of the Undercover series, Ferry 2 shows how Ferry’s life continues after these seasons. Ferry lost his drug empire and has found a degree of peace in Spain, far away from the Brabant underworld. Until his niece pulls him back into all the misery.

“In the film Ferry changes course,” says Frank. “He will become a folk singer. That profession is a lot safer. Then you don’t have to look over your shoulder all the time.” The song that Ferry sings entitled ‘King Van De Camping’ was heard this morning in the radio program KEIgoeiemorgen!

According to Frank, the song is ‘very easy to sing along to’. He wouldn’t be surprised if the song would be heard a lot during carnival.

“She is not from Brabant, but she can just speak Brabant.”

In the radio program, Frank speaks highly of his co-star Aiko Beemsterboer. The 21-year-old actress plays the role of Ferry’s niece, who brings him back from Spain. “She is doing very well. She is not from Brabant, but she can just speak Brabant. Not many can do that.”

And does Frank look a bit like Ferry? “No, luckily not. I’m a very sweet person,” says Frank. But his inner Ferry emerges when Frank is asked whether he ever sees a Ferry or Undercover without a role for him. “Then I’m going to have a nice word with the producer, I think. You had two choices: Either I have a part, or I have a part.”
