France is taking tougher action against young perpetrators after serious riots: higher fines, parents liable for damage and possible deployment of the army

There will also be higher fines and it must be investigated whether the army can be called in to teach young perpetrators discipline and values, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne said on Thursday.
