France is planting “super prison” for drug lords and radicalized in jungle in the Amazon forest

By 2028, the French government wants to open a heavily protected prison in the heart of the jungle of Frans-Guyana. Minister of Justice Gérald Darmanin announced the plans on Saturday during a visit to the overseas region. The prison, which will cost 400 million euros, must put an end to the influence of drug cartels and radicalized prisoners within the French prison system.
