In France, corporate sentiment brightened significantly in February. The corresponding indicator rose by five points compared to January to 112 points, as reported by the Insee statistics office in Paris on Tuesday. On average, analysts had expected a slight increase to 108 points.
The mood among service providers brightened particularly clearly. The indicators also rose in retail and construction. In industry, on the other hand, the mood clouded over slightly. With 112 points, the overall indicator is well above its longer average of 100 points. (dpa)
