The German handball master Füchse Berlin awarded Max Beneke (22) to THSV Eisenach for one season. The U21 world champion of 2023, who previously played three games for the A national team, is said to receive more times from Bundesliga competitors than in the capital.

The left -hander played a subordinate role in the 2024/25 master season, since he had strong competition in the half -right back position through the Danish world handball player Mathias Gidsel.

“The last year was very difficult for Max,” said Füchse managing director Bob Hanning. “The high competition in his position did not enable him to make the game shares that are necessary for a young player like him. The loan to THSV Eisenach is the logical consequence, this is a good decision for all sides.”

In the 2023/24 season, Beneke had made the promotion to the Bundesliga with the cooperation partner 1. VfL Potsdam. He was a top scorer of the 2nd league with 291 goals and was recognized as the best young player. “Of course I hope that with this step I will get more playing time and develop myself and bring in my strengths,” said Beneke.
