The fight started on Saturday evening when line inspectors asked for the ticket of a group of young people. Ultimately, five people from De Lijn were injured, including the tram driver and two police officers.
On Monday there were consultations between unions and management at De Lijn about additional safety measures in the future. It turned out, among other things, that De Lijn is already planning to provide drivers with a body camera. This should act as a deterrent or allow perpetrators of crimes to be proven more clearly.
