RB Leipzig has to worry about entering the semi-finals of the Europa League. The Bundesliga side only drew 1-1 (0-1) at home in the quarter-final first leg against Atalanta Bergamo on Thursday. Luis Muriel (17th) gave the Italian Serie A club the lead.

An own goal by Davide Zappacosta (58th) gave the Saxons a draw in front of 36,029 spectators. Seconds earlier, André Silva had failed with a penalty kick from Bergamo goalkeeper Juan Musso.

The second leg will take place next Thursday. Atalanta had already thrown Bayer Leverkusen out of the competition with two wins in the previous round.
