The police arrested four people around the match between PSV and Bayern Munich on Wednesday. Apart from ‘a few minor disturbances’, the match was ‘fairly calm’, according to the police.
In the run-up to the match, three Germans were arrested because they did not want to leave after an order from officers. These are three men aged 55, 44 and 37. They have received a fine and an area ban.
A 39-year-old man from Helmond was also arrested for insulting a police officer. Not much later he was free again.
Defeat
The Champions League season is over for PSV after the defeat against Bayern Munich on Wednesday evening. The team lost 1-2 at home.
“We mainly let it go in the terrible match against Union Saint-Gilloise. If we had taken a point there, it would have been enough,” concluded PSV coach Peter Bosz at the press conference after the elimination.
